To Family (and Friends) Who Continue Supporting Trump

I do not relish the words you’re about to read, and honestly take no joy in typing them. I debated about even posting. This was originally going to be much longer, but, to be honest, I don’t like talking about this topic. It tires me out.

But we have to talk about it. So please either click the image, the title or right here to read.

Wearing a Mask is Not Normal, But Neither is a Global Pandemic

I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of wearing a mask. It’s cumbersome, sometimes hard to breathe, and it feels weird to have to wear a mask in public places.

But I still wear one when I go grocery shopping. I still wear one when I have to be at work. I still wear one if I absolutely must go out. I don’t like it, yet I still do it. o find out why, you’ll need to hit up my newest Medium story by clicking on the title, the image or simply right here.

Why I Wrote a Book of Poetry on Drugs

On Medium, I’ve published the introduction to my new, self published book of poetry called "Poetry I Wrote on Drugs." If you want to read this, you’ll need to head over to Medium or buy the book.

Brycical's Big Announcement

I realized it seems kinda silly that so many only see so little of all the projects, thoughts and ideas going on inside my mind. How is anyone supposed to get excited about what I'm working on when I'm simply waiting to share all my ideas in finished form? Here's a good example; I've been telling a bunch of friends about a few short stories I'm working on, and the majority of their responses have been something along the lines of curious interest. But when they inevitably ask "when can I read some of these stories?" all I've been able to respond with is, "Well, I'm workin' on it."

I hope to change this. I need to change this.

A Conversation I Overheard

I want to tell you about a conversation I overheard the other day between two older white ladies. The circumstances surrounding how I came to hear such a story are unimportant. But, needless to say, out of privacy concerns and also the subtle amount of racism involved, the names have been changed to protect the ignoramuses. Everything else told is exactly as I heard it.

But in order to read the rest, I behest you to make your way over to Medium by clicking on the title, image or simply right here.

I Didn't Go to Egypt to See the Pyramids

With the exception of a few close friends, most people I told about an impending trip to Egypt were shocked. They were even more surprised to learn that I wanted to stay, for an extended amount of time. But when they asked why, I had no answer. I could only explain that I was NOT going to Egypt just so I could snap a few pictures with pyramids, gawk at local cuisines or follow the well worn trails of tourists circulating through the country like a passing gust of wind.
