San Antonio government decides to take an action that will totally not freak people out by posting the number of confirmed coronavirus cases by ZIP code on the San Antonio website.
The 45th President of the United States, who says he always took the threat of a pandemic seriously, is super hype about the ratings he sees during the daily press briefings and how he was ranked #1 on Facebook. smh. Howard Stern’s reaction is probably most of us.

Workers from Amazon, Whole Foods and Instacart stage walkouts or sick-outs as a way to express frustration over lack of pay, benefits and unsafe conditions, especially during a time of crisis. Power to the people!

I make the mistake of trying to chill out before work of scrolling through Facebook in search of some sanity.
More Conspiracy theory posts:
Corona virus released to stop all the mass protests in China, France, Italy and Iran.
Coronavirus is the mark of the beast from the book of Revelations. Also Nostradamus predicted it.
According to management, next week at work will be even more busy due to my place of employment being one of the few businesses where workers are not being laid off/furloughed/let go. We will go from practically having no training classes to having three. It will be fine.
Calls include:
People are dying. It’s going to be rough two weeks.
People are dying alone
Maybe it is the end times and we just have to ride it out
No end in sight
NYC is really bad. People dying and being put in freezers
Don't go outside
Making masks since stores are sold out.
Offspring getting food for elderly parents and/or grandparents.
Old people trying to understand ordering groceries online through websites and apps.
Dis-mis-information from calls and Facebook:
You gotta leave your groceries alone for a few days and then wash them. (SPOILER ALERT: No you don't.)
Trump was always taking the pandemic seriously, even calling it a pandemic ‘long before' everyone else started calling it a pandemic. Who cares he didn't know people died from the flu even though his own grandfather died from the flu. At least he has a natural ability for these things.
U.S. is banning all travel w/in the states.
Everyone gets a “stimulus check.” (except for these people. And these people. Maybe these people.)
There was no way to see something like this pandemic coming. (except for the one time we were warned. And the time before that too. )
My new nightly ritual is now firmly established:
slather hands in sanitizer before leaving work.
take off shoes once home and inside.
wipe down keys and wallet and phone.
wash hands.
enter bathroom and strip off everything,
wash hands again
shower.
Put on pajama’s and then fall asleep only to dream of taking more calls at work of people talking about the coronavirus.
A nursing home in San Antonio is unfortunately another victim of the coronavirus, which looks to potentially explode the number of cases of Coronavirus in San Antonio due to many of the people working at said nursing home having 2 or 3 other jobs as well.
Forgot to mention from previous weeks that I am still finding time to work out, though not as much due to increased hours at work.
Texas Governor issues a statewide kinda but not really stay at home executive order without wanting to use the words “stay at home” because he didn’t want to confuse people, explaining that
"...there could be some exceptions to the rule. You never know what the exception would be, like let's say there's some emergency where you have to go do something or whatever the case may be, and you don't want to get people subject to being in violation of a law for a lack of clarity.”The President of the US said it's wrong to compare the coronavirus to the flu, despite being recorded on multiple cameras saying the coronavirus was like the flu. Guess it's a good thing Trump isn't a doctor even though it sure seems he'd like to play one on TV, what with his natural ability for these things.
San Antonio officials reveal graphs with numbers that essentially say the city is nowhere near peak pandemic levels... yet. So that's fun.
The 45th President of U.S. recommends everyone should wear masks. Says he won't wear one.
4 Good things happening from all of this:
Many can now slightly empathize for people with OCD.
Someone who survived the Spanish Flu has also survived the cornavirus.
In many places, air pollution is at an all time low.
A photo of San Antonio nurses praying before their shift goes viral, reminding everyone in San Antonio that hope is not lost.
To brighten an especially cloudy day, I ordered doughnuts for Erika Paradise and myself. Sorry Fifi.
Last but not least, Erika Paradise and myself spend an unhealthy amount of time debating about getting another litter-box for Fifi the cat, who is probably about as enthused with that idea as most cats are enthused about any idea.
