20 Gratitudes with Attitude in 2020: #5 of 20

16 Days Left in 2020

This grateful thought ties into yesterday. You see, I’m also grateful that I am able to pay the bills and live a life that others might deem as being “plugged into the matrix system” thanks in part to a job where I listen and speak for (sometimes racist) people who are experiencing bouts of paranoia shouting “game over man, game over!” While it’s not ideal, I’m grateful that I am able to still have a job while many others are struggling to find one. But I’m also grateful for this job because it hardly requires any interaction with people.

Whether this means I have slowly evolved to have a more introverted personality remains to be seen. Needless to say, this job is essentially a perfect fit for introverts in general during these pandemic times, especially since it mostly requires one to essentially be a fly on the wall that repeats back everything you hear without getting involved. The cherry on top came when my job allowed employees to start working from home in May/June of this year.
